Big leaps into the top three by the Kinks and the Gestures, and into the top ten by the Newbeats, giving them two songs there.

Not only did all the records debuting this week make the Billboard Hot 100, but they all made the top 40.  And all of them will make the top ten here: “Any Way You Want It” (14/2), “Sha La La” (12/1), “Hawaii Tattoo” (33/6)(the Waikikis were a Belgian easy-listening instrumental group), “I Feel Fine” (1/1), “The Jerk” (7/4), and “As Tears Go By” (22/10).
