Discovery: Beau Brummels—Laugh, Laugh

The Beach Boys’ “The Man With All the Toys” did not make the Hot 100 or Bubbling Under charts, but it did make the Billboard Christmas Singles chart, where it peaked at number 3.  Dickey Lee’s “Big Brother” just missed the Hot 100, peaking in BB at number 101, while it will reach number 23 here in two weeks.  The other debuts this week all made the Billboard top 40, and all did about as well here as there except “Leader of the Laundromat,” which was a number 19 BB hit that will only reach number 44 here.

The b-side, "How Soon," of Henry Mancini's "Dear Heart," is added this week; it did not make Billboard.

A pretty healthy jump by the Impressions from 37 to 10 this week.
