Discovery: Four Seasons—Bye Bye Baby

Now we’re talking.  “The Witch,” by Tacoma’s Sonics, which never got near Billboard, debuts this week and will peak at number two.  The beginning of punk?

The week’s other debuts were all Hot 100 hits.  The only one that will fare noticeably differently here versus Billboard was “Hey-Da-Da-Dow” by the Dolphins: 69 BB, 6 KJR.

    1. I have most of them, but some I didn't have access to at the time I reached their spot chronologically. The 1966 Year-End survey appears on my blog right after 2-3-67, while 1968 through 1971 all appear in sequence. I am currently working on a post for Year-End 1967, and I just found the 1964 one. Still haven't found 1965 yet.
