Lancers--The Warmth of the Sun

One non-BB debut this week: “The Warmth of the Sun” by the Lancers, an easy-listening version of the Beach Boys song, will reach number 42.  The others all made the Hot 100, though one just barely—Jimmy Witherspoon’s “You’re Next” was a number 98 Billboard hit that will be number 41 here next week and then fade away.  Large New Orleans easy-listening trumpeter Al Hirt’s “Fancy Pants,” a number 47 national hit, will get to number 12 here.

No Discovery again.
