Discovery: Petula Clark—I Know a Place

One non-BB debut, “Just a Lot of Talk” by folk-rocky Oregon brothers (twins?) Grady and Brady Sneed, which will move to number 45 next week and then drop off.  “I’ve Got Five Dollars and It’s Saturday Night,” a remake of a 1956 Faron Young record by unlikely duet partners George Jones and Gene Pitney, reached number 99 on the Hot 100 and number 16 on the Billboard country chart; it will get to number 17 here.  The Jan & Dean record was a number 56 BB hit that will get to number 25 here next week, and Little Anthony & the Imperials’ “Hurt So Bad,” a number 10 BB hit, will stall here at number 32.
