Band--The Weight

Last week “You’re All I Need to Get By” by Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell jumped 16 spots from number 48 to number 32.  This week it’s gone.

Just five debuts this week.  “Love Heals” by British band Colours only got to number 106 in Billboard but will make it to number 20 here.  Larry Marks’ folky-pop “L.A. Break Down” beats that—129 BB, number nine here.  “Fire” by the Crazy World of Arthur Brown spent one week at number two in Billboard, while here it’ll be number one for a week, followed by four straight weeks at number two.  The Vogues, settling into a role as an oldies group, will equal their BB peak of number seven with their version of “My Special Angel.”  And new band the Band will make it to number 28 here with the number 63 Billboard hit “The Weight.”
