Wayne Newton’s version of “Dreams of the Everyday Housewife” is replaced on the survey by Glen Campbell’s version; for the next two weeks, they’ll be listed jointly, then Wayne will spend a few more weeks on it by himself.

“I Need Love” by the Third Booth is a fuzzy piece of garage punk that seems out of place in mid-1968—it would have been more at home about two years earlier.  This will be its only week on the survey, but it did not make Billboard at all.  The group was from Illinois, and the record was a big hit in Chicago.

Dino, Desi & Billy continue their Seattle success with the sunshine pop classic “Tell Someone You Love Them,” a number 92 BB hit that will go all the way to number seven here.  It’s the last they’ll be seen on the KJR survey.
