As mentioned earlier, Jose Feliciano’s “Light My Fire” drops off but will be back in three weeks.

Only five debuts, so I’ll run through them all.  Wayne Newton’s “Dreams of the Everyday Housewife” was a number 60 Billboard hit that will get up to number 13 here; for two of its weeks on the survey it’ll be listed in combination with Glen Campbell’s version, which was number 32 nationally.  Steppenwolf’s “Born to Be Wild” peaked at number two for three weeks in Billboard, while here it’ll go to number one for two weeks.  “Hello, I Love You” by the Doors was number one for two weeks in Billboard, while here it’ll stop at number three.  Mama Cass’s “Dream a Little Dream of Me” went to number 12 BB and will just beat that here, number 11.  And the bubblegummy “And Suddenly” by the Cherry People, number 45 in Billboard, will reach number nine here.
