Eternity's Children--Mrs. Bluebird

“Mrs. Robinson” experiences one of the most dramatic plunges within the survey that we have seen.

We last saw Jon & Robin & the In Crowd a few months ago with “Dr. Jon;” now Jon & Robin have dumped the In Crowd and are back with “You Got Style” (between hanging out with the In Crowd and talking about someone having style, Jon & Robin seem a little superficial), which Bubbled Under at number 110 in Billboard but will get to a respectable number 30 here.

The other debuts were all Top 40 BB hits.  Bobby Goldsboro’s follow-up to “Honey,” the pensive “Autumn of My Life,” was a number 19 Billboard hit (19 pop, 15 country, and 2 easy listening) that will get up to number three here.  “Don’t Take it So Hard” by Paul Revere & the Raiders was a number 27 BB hit that will go to number seven here.  Also worth mentioning: Billy Vera’s “With Pen in Hand” (43BB/23KJR), Eternity’s Children’s sunshine pop “Mrs. Bluebird” (69/31), and, falling short, Jerry Butler’s “Never Give You Up” (20/42).
