Ten debuts this week (plus the return of “I Know a Place”), including the Righteous Brothers way up at number eleven.  All were Hot 100 hits; in fact, all were top 40 hits except jazz vibraphonist Cal Tjader’s “Soul Sauce,” which was number 88 in Billboard and will get to number 32 here.  Marianne Faithfull’s “This Little Bird” was a number 32 BB hit that will make it to number 12 here, while Mel Carter’s “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me,” which climbed to number 8 in Billboard, will go to number 23 here next week, but no higher despite sticking around for another nine weeks—more on it at a later date.
