A lot of shakeup in the top half of the survey this week, with a number of records making big jumps.

All the debuts this week were Billboard hits, though one only Bubbled Under.  “You Can’t Grow Peaches on a Cherry Tree” by the Browns peaked at number 120 in BB, while here it will reach number 42; the Browns had a long string of hits on the country chart, but this one did not chart there.  It did get to number 35 on the Easy Listening chart, though.

Speaking of the country chart, Roger Miller’s “One Dyin’ and a Buryin’” was a number 10 Billboard country hit that reached number 34 on the pop Hot 100—here it will make it to number 8.  Glenn Yarbrough’s “It’s Gonna Be Fine” will peak here at number 24; in Billboard it got to number 54.  Cher debuts twice this week, once by herself (15 BB/8 KJR) and once with Sonny (1/1).

The b-side of the Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody," "Hung on You," is added to the playlist.
