Two non-BB debuts this week.  The Newbeats’ “So Fine,” at number 47 this week, will peak at 46 next week, fall to 47, and then drop off.  And Seattle’s Daily Flash makes their first appearance on the Fab 50 with “The French Girl,” which will get up to number eleven.

Among the other debuts, Peter Courtney’s “The Loser,” a typical example of catchy early-67 pop-rock, Bubbled Under in Billboard at number 121 but will peak here next week at number 33.  The New Colony Six’s “Love You So Much” will get no higher than this week’s number 36; it only made it to number 61 in Billboard, which is not that much of a difference but I think it’s a great song so I’m mentioning it.  Going in the other direction, we have two soul hits that will not come close here to their national positions; “It Takes Two” by Marvin Gaye & Kim Weston was a number 14 BB hit that will stop at number 30 here, while Spyder Turner’s version of “Stand By Me,” in which he does impressions of several other singers, will only get to number 45 here versus its number 12 spot in Billboard.
