A lot of shakeup this week, with twelve debuts and a couple sizeable leaps into the top ten.  “The French Girl” by the Daily Flash drops completely off of the survey from number 17.  “I’m a Man” by the Spencer Davis Group drops off from number 29; next week it will be back at number 50, and then climb gradually to number 26.

Burt Bacharach’s “Bond Street” drops off, leaving “Casino Royale” by itself for its final week on the survey.

Two of the debuts did not make Billboard.  Seattle’s Emergency Exit are back with their follow-up to “Maybe Too Late,” “It’s Too Late Baby,” which will get to number 15.  And the Boenzee Cryque’s “Still in Love With You Baby,” a number one hit in their hometown of Denver, will make it to number 33 here.

Of the other ten, none will have really dramatic differences in peak position between Seattle and Billboard.  The most significant are novelty instrumental “I Was Kaiser Bill’s Batman” by Whistling Jack Smith (20BB/12KJR), the first hit for Engelbert Humperdinck, “Release Me” (4/10), the Buckinghams’ “Don’t You Care” (6/16), Eddy Arnold’s “Misty Blue” (57/36), and “Come On Down to My Boat” by Every Mother’s Son, a number six BB hit that will spend three weeks at number one here.
