The Supremes debut up at number 17 with “I Hear a Symphony.”

Little Caesar’s “(My Girl) Sloopy” drops off while the McCoys’ “Hang On Sloopy” continues.

For their first three weeks on the chart, Sonny & Cher’s “But You’re Mine” and Petula Clark’s “Round Every Corner” stuck close together: 42 and 43, 24 and 22, and then last week 15 and 16.  But this week Sonny & Cher jump to number 6 while Petula plummets to 44.

One non-BB debut this week” “Something Beautiful” by TV personality Connie Stevens, which will peak here at number 30.  “The Letter” by Sonny & Cher, and old recording of theirs from 1963 which was originally released as by “Caesar & Cleo” and was re-released to capitalize on their success, got to number 75 at Billboard but will make it to number 27 here.  Also doing better at KJR than BB are Roy Orbison’s “Crawling Back” (46BB/10KJR) and “Sinner Man” by Trini Lopez (54/16).
