Bobby Goldsboro--Broomstick Cowboy

High debut by Lou Christie; big jump by Mike Douglas.  The two sides of the Beatles record switch places again.

One non-BB debut: Ian Whitcomb’s “Good Hard Rock,” which will only be on the survey this one week.  One Bubbling Under debut: “Look at Me” by the Three Dimensions, which got to number 113 in Billboard and will also only be on the KJR survey this one week.  It’s the first record we’ve run into in a while that I don’t own—I’ve never even heard it and have no idea what it sounds like.

Of the other debuts, the biggest popularity disparity is that of Bobby Goldsboro’s “Broomstick Cowboy,” a number 53 BB hit that will reach number 29 here.

There was no KJR survey published in the 12-31-65 issue of the Seattle P-I.  The 1-7-66 survey shows the 12-24 positions in the "Last Week" column, so I assume that 12-31 not only was not published but did not exist.

  1. There was a chart for the year 1965 published, like other years 1964 onward.

There was no chart for12-31. 1965 year end WAS published.
