Nancy Sinatra--So Long Babe

Jan & Dean’s “I Found a Girl” makes a sizeable leap.

One non-BB debut this week—“You’re So Right For Me” by the Jades, a semi-Motowny girl group record that will get to number 22 here.  Peter Antell’s version of Bob Dylan’s “The Times They Are a-Changing” barely squeaked, or barely bubbled, into the Bubbling Under chart at number 135, and will make it to number 33 here.  “So Long Babe,” Nancy Sinatra’s first appearance on the Billboard charts, at number 86, will get up to number 26 here, and Barry McGuire’s “Child of Our Times” will get to number 34, versus the 72 it peaked at in BB.  On the other hand, the Walker Brothers’ “Make it Easy on Yourself” was a number 16 BB hit that will stall at number 36 at KJR.
