“Mohair Sam” makes a big jump.

The Beatles’ “The Night Before” was a track from the Help! soundtrack that KJR elected to play, and Joe Leahy’s “Life” was a trumpet  instrumental that did not make the Billboard pop charts but did get to number 33 on the Easy Listening chart.  Here it will get to number 40.  Singer/songwriter/producer P.F. Sloan, formerly half of the Fantastic Baggys, previously seen here, at this point stopped trying to be a Beach Boy and started trying to be Bob Dylan, and his “The Sins of a Family” was a number 87 BB hit that will get to number 16 at KJR.  “The Way of Love” by British pop singer Kathy Kirby made it to number 88 in Billboard and will reach number 27 here.  Also possibly worth mentioning is that “I’m a Happy Man” by the Jive Five was number 36 in BB and will peak at number 18 here.

We saw Sonny & Cher's "Baby Don't Go" here several months ago, when it rose to number 11 despite not making Billboard at all.  Then they became stars with "I Got You Babe," and now "Baby Don't Go" is back, and will get to number 7 while making it to number 8 in Billboard.

“3rd Man Theme” is dropped from the survey this week and “Taste of Honey” will be listed by itself for the rest of its life on the survey.
