Barry McGuire debuts in the top ten.

All this week’s debuts were Hot 100 hits.  Ian Whitcomb’s “N-E-R-V-O-U-S!” was a number 59 BB hit that will reach number 23 here, and Bobby Goldsboro’s “If You Wait For Love” got to number 75 in Billboard but will reach number 30 here.  Also worth mentioning is “We Gotta Get Out of This Place” by the Animals, a number 13 BB hit which will peak at number two at KJR.
