Committee--California My Way

Only four debuts this week, so Ill go through them one by one.

This is the first weve seen of the Bards, a well-remembered band from Moses Lake in eastern Washington.  Never Too Much Love, a classic of flowery soft-psychedelia, was not a Billboard hit but will get to number five here.

Dionne Warwick’s “I Say a Little Prayer” made it to number four in BB but will stop at number 15 here.

Cher’s “You Better Sit Down Kids” will rise quickly to number two on our survey; it peaked at number nine nationally.

“California My Way” was the only semi-hit by pop vocal group the Committee; it Bubbled Under in Billboard at number 110, while here it’ll peak next week at number 45.

Next week: ten debuts.
