All six debuts were Hot 100 hits.  Just barely, for “The Other Side of This Life” by Peter, Paul & Mary, which peaked there at number 100 and will peak here at its debut position of 36.  “Cry Softly” by folk-pop singer and occasional actress Nancy Ames does slightly better in both charts, getting to number 95 in Billboard and number 34 here.  Ramsey Lewis, no longer with the Ramsey Lewis Trio, made it to number 19 in BB with his version of “Wade in the Water,” but it will get no higher here than this week’s number 46 position.
