Neil Diamond’s “Cherry, Cherry” returns to the survey after taking a week off.

One non-BB debut this week: “Bird Dog,” a version of the 1958 Everly Brothers hit, by the Newbeats, who tended to do well in Seattle.  It’ll peak at number 42.  The other debuts were all Hot 100 hits and all will do about as well here as nationally, with the exception of “Fiddle Around” by Jan & Dean, a number 93 Billboard hit that will reach number 19 here.
