Three songs in the top 20 last week drop completely off of the survey this week: “The Grooviest Girl in the World,” “Wichita Lineman” and “Chewy Chewy.”

One of the debuts did not make Billboard at all.  Moses Lake, Washington’s Bards make their third and final appearance on the survey with “Tunesmith,” mellow pop-rock with prominent flute and female backing vocals, which will get up to number eight.  The Kasenetz-Katz Super Circus, shortening their name from the Kasenetz-Katz Singing Orchestral Circus, will stop at number 45 next week with “I’m in Love With You,” which only made it to number 105 in Billboard.  As often happened, Paul Revere & the Raiders will do better here than nationally with “Mr. Sun, Mr. Moon,” 18 BB versus five in Seattle.  Dionne Warwick’s “This Girl’s in Love With You,” her version of the Herb Alpert hit, will fall short of its number seven BB peak, only making it to number 17 here.

At numbers 46 and 47 we have a conflict over who exactly is in love with you.  Also, we’ve got Dionne, Dion and Donovan close together at the bottom of the list, with Diana (twice), Darin, Dorsey, Dusty, two Davises, and the Doors and Deep Purple lurking above.
