After seemingly peaking at number seven three weeks ago, “Wichita Lineman” suddenly jumps to number one.

Bobby Darin, now in his folk period, will peak here at number ten with “Long Line Rider,” a number 79 Billboard hit.  Similarly, “The Grooviest Girl in the World” by bubblegum group the Fun & Games, a number 78 BB hit, will get to number 15.  Soul instrumental classic “Soulful Strut” by Young-Holt Unlimited, which was a number three hit nationally, will only make it to number 25.
