Hollies--Listen to Me
|
Andy Kim’s “Shoot ‘Em Up, Baby” shoots up for the last time,
blocked from the top spot by “Hey Jude.”
It’ll start sinking next week.
“Listen to Me” by the Hollies achieves the rare feat of
besting its Billboard rank by 100 spots: 129 BB, 29 KJR. Richard Harris’ rendition of Jimmy Webb’s
melodramatically incomprehensible “The Yard Went on Forever,” his follow-up to
his rendition of Jimmy Webb’s melodramatically incomprehensible “MacArthur
Park,” was a number 64 BB hit that will go to number 36 here. Judy Collins’ “Both Sides Now” will come up a
bit short (8BB/16KJR).
