The Beatles, Monkees and Bee Gees all make big leaps.  The Beatles’ “Baby You’re a Rich Man” is added to the entry for it’s a-side; the record will be listed with both sides for the rest of its weeks on the survey.  The combined entry will peak at number three; in Billboard “All You Need is Love” got to number one while “Baby You’re a Rich Man” peaked at number 34.

The week’s debuts were all Hot 100 hits.  “You’re a Very Lovely Woman” by the Merry-Go-Round only made it to number 94, while Aretha Franklin’s “Baby I Love You” got to number four; however here at KJR Aretha will jump to number 21 next week but get no higher, while the Merry-Go-Round will stay at number 29 next week, sink for the two following weeks, then climb to number 17.
