An interesting group of debuts this week.  I’ll go through them one by one.

Paul Revere & the Raiders’ “Kicks” was a number 4 BB hit, so there wasn’t much room for it to do better, but it will spend three weeks at number one here.

The Knickerbockers’ follow-up to “Lies,” “One Track Mind,” got to number 46 in Billboard, and will reach number 21 here in two weeks and then drop off the survey.

Eddie Rambeau’s pop-folky “I’m the Sky” did not make Billboard; it will peak here at number 24 next week.

Lesley Gore’s version of the 1950s Sonny James/Tab Hunter hit “Young Love” peaked at number 50 at Billboard but will make it up to number 20 here.

Garage punk classic “A Public Execution” by Texas singer Mouse (of Mouse & the Traps) Bubbled Under at Billboard, stopping at number 121; here it’ll get to number 32.

Wayne Newton’s “After the Laughter,” a non-BB record, will make it to number 38 here.
