Jr. Walker & the All-Stars--What Does it Take (To Win Your Love)

Only four debuts this week.  Mark Lindsay’s first solo hit, “First Hymn From Grand Terrace,” enters the survey, beginning his parallel career as an easy listening singer while the very different “Let Me” hits its peak position.  “First Hymn” only got to number 81 nationally but will make it to number eleven here.  “Polk Salad Annie” by Tony Joe White will stop at number 14, falling short of its number eight BB peak.  “Choice of Colors” by the Impressions will do about as well here (24) as at Billboard (21), though it will manage to stay on the survey for ten weeks.  And “What Does it Take” by Jr. Walker & the All-Stars was a number four BB hit that will stall at number twelve here.
