Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band--Do Your Thing

Kind of an uneventful week.  Five debuts, all were Hot 100 hits.  One will do better, much better, here than nationally: Gary Lewis’ version of “Rhythm of the Rain,” a number 63 BB hit that will go all the way to number five.  “It’s Your Thing” and “Do Your Thing” debut almost back-to-back, but neither thing will come close to equaling its national popularity; not the Isley Brothers’ thing (2BB/17KJR) and not the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band’s thing (11BB/43KJR).  But next week we’ll have ten debuts.
