Jacobsen & Tansley--Dream With Me

As “Paperback Writer” slips down the survey, KJR seemingly gets impatient for new Beatles material and starts playing album cut “Drive My Car,” which will shoot up to number two in two weeks and drop off the survey in two more.  One other non-BB hit debuts this week, pop-rocker “Dream With Me” by Jacobsen & Tansley, which will primarily get airplay in Ohio and Vancouver BC; here it’ll peak at number 40.  “Deep Inside” by the Jagged Edge, an international group recording with Elvis’ frequent producer Felton Jarvis, was a number 129 Billboard hit that will get to number 12 here.  Richard & the Young Lions’ garage-rock classic “Open Up Your Door” will reach number two here versus its number 99 peak in Billboard; that’s the biggest difference for any Hot 100 hit.  Paling next to that, but still impressive, is the Troggs’ “With a Girl Like You,” which peaked at number 29 in Billboard but will reach number 5 here.  Also worth mentioning is Cher’s version of “Alfie”—32BB, 17KJR.
