Discoveries: Chuck Berry—No Particular Place to Go, Ronettes—Do I Love You

Big leaps by the Beach Boys and Gerry & the Pacemakers to reach the top 5.  One non-BB record debuts this week, “Sweet Love,” a slow guitar instrumental produced by Frank Zappa, by Conrad & the Hurricane Strings, a SoCal surf band made up largely of Dutch immigrants.  “Juliet,” by British group the Four Pennies, only Bubbled Under at number 116 at Billboard but will top out at number 40 here.  And Texas duo Rene & Rene will reach number 12 here in a few weeks with “Angelito,” but it only got to number 43 in Billboard.
