Crow--Cottage Cheese

Second straight week with only four debuts.  For the first time in quite a while, we’ve got an album track that was not released as a single on the survey—Paul McCartney’s “Maybe I’m Amazed,” from his debut solo album McCartney.  It’ll peak at number ten.

“Mama Told Me (Not to Come)” by Three Dog Night was number one for two weeks at Billboard; it’ll spend three weeks there, out of a total of 19 weeks on our survey.

“Cecilia” by Simon & Garfunkel, a number four BB hit, will get to number three in its 18 weeks in the Fab 50.

“Cottage Cheese” is the second of two appearances on the Fab 50 by Minneapolis band Crow (the title seems to have nothing to do with the song).  Number 56 nationally, it’ll get up to number 16 here.
