Dean Martin--You've Still Got a Place in My Heart

Very little change from last week.  Seven songs stayed in the same place, ten went up or down one spot, and twelve went up or down two spots.  Only one moved more than nine spots within the survey (Dean Martin dropping from 34 to 50).

Claudine Longet's version of "Love is Blue" drops off, leaving Paul Mauriat's all alone.

The Bee Gees’ “The Singer Sang His Song” was actually the b-side of “Jumbo;” KJR did not play “Jumbo,” which got to number 57 in Billboard, breaking the brothers’ streak of top 20 hits.  “The Singer Sang His Song” bubbled under in BB, at number 116, while here it’ll repeat its number 48 ranking next week and then drop off the survey.

The Texas band Fever Tree’s psychedelic “San Francisco Girls” was just a number 91 BB hit, but here it’ll rise to number four.  The vaguely folk-rocky pop song “Here’s to You” by singer/songwriter/actor Hamilton Camp will peak next week at number 33; in Billboard it only made it to number 76.

“Unwind” was Ray Stevens getting away from the goofy stuff and beginning his social commentary phase; it was a number 52 BB hit that’ll reach number 19 here.  On the other hand, “Tighten Up” by Archie Bell & the Drells, a number one national hit, will peak at number nine.
