The Monkees shoot up to number one.

“Love is Blue” is shown as by Paul Mauriat alone, as Claudine Longet disappears for this one week only.  She’ll be back next week.

The Association’s “Everything That Touches You” drops off the survey from way up at number 20.

There are two non-BB debuts this week: the Ventures’ “Flights of Fantasy,” which will get to number 25, and “New York City” by Mojo (the Mojo Men under a new name), which will peak next week at number 35 and drop off the survey.

The only other debut that will do significantly better here than nationally is “I Love You,” a psychedelic pop-rock cover of a Zombies song by San Jose band People; a number 14 BB hit, it’ll peak at number two here, just one of several songs that will be blocked out of the number one spot by a record that will debut next week…

Falling short of their Billboard peaks are Percy Sledge’s “Take Time to Know Her” (11BB/25KJR) and Sam & Dave’s “I Thank You” (9/45).  “I Love You” and “I Thank You” debut in consecutive spots.
