The Monkees’ second album is now out!  “I Wanna Be Free,” from the first album, drops off the survey as two tracks from the new one debut: “Your Auntie Grizelda” and “She.”  The other debuts were all Hot 100 hits.  Sonny & Cher’s “The Beat Goes On” debuts way up at number 16, but it will only peak at number twelve (number 6 in BB).  “Deadend Street” by the Kinks was a number 73 Billboard hit; its number 45 spot here this week is better than that, but it will get no higher.  Ed Ames’ “My Cup Runneth Over” is an interesting case: it got up to number eight in Billboard, but here it’ll only make it to number 29, despite spending twelve weeks on the survey, and the number 29 position will occur in its final week (48-35-37-40-40-34-43-46-40-46-31-29).

The top five records stay the same for the second consecutive week, the top four for the fourth consecutive week, and the top three for the sixth consecutive week.

Addendum: "Your Auntie Grizelda" will get no higher than this week's number 33 position, while "She" will peak at number twelve.
