Phil Flowers & the Flower Shop--Like a Rolling Stone

This week’s “suddenly overstaying its welcome” award goes to the Four Seasons’ “And That Reminds Me,” which drops off the survey from number 20—making three weeks in a row that the number 20 song has fallen off the following week.  But we won’t be making it four in a row.

Two of the week’s debuts only made the Bubbling Under chart at Billboard.  Southern California sunshine pop vocal group the Groop’s “The Jet Song,” number 112 in BB, will get to number 35 here, and Phil Flowers & the Flower Shop’s soul version of Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone,” number 104 BB, will go to number 46 next week before dropping off the survey.  Johnny Rivers’ ballad “One Woman” will inch up to number 40 next week, stay there for another week, then drop off, while nationally it only got to number 89.  And the Beatles’ double-sided hit “Come Together”/”Something” will spend eight weeks at number one here, versus only one week in Billboard.  (The first three weeks “Come Together” will be listed as the a-side, then they’ll switch places.)
