Kinks--Victoria

“Victoria” by the Kinks only made it to number 62 nationally, but here it’ll make it to number 21.  The other debuts will come pretty close here to their Billboard peaks, with the largest difference being 27BB/17KJR for Bobbie Gentry & Glen Campbell’s version of “All I Have to Do is Dream.”

The only other thing I can think to mention is that “Instant Karma” is probably my favorite hit of the year.

  1. My second-most-favorite song for 1970 was "Make It With You" by Bread. My most favorite song for 1970 was "Amos Moses" by Jerry Reed. It will be interesting to see what positions those songs reach in the Fab 50.
