Bee Gees--Words
|
All the week’s debuts were Hot 100 hits, and all will do
better here than nationally, though some just barely. “Dear Delilah,” by Grapefruit, a British
pop-psych group with links to the Beatles, was a number 98 BB hit that will
make number 42 here. Vancouver BC’s Tom
Northcott, whom we saw six months ago, is back with the Harry Nilsson song “1941,”
a number 88 Billboard hit that’ll go to number 46 here next week and then drop
off. The Bee Gees’ “Words” was number 15
in Billboard but will get up to number three here, after a very slow climb.
