Elvis Presley--Separate Ways

The Doobie Brothers’ version of “Jesus is Just Alright” was
just alright nationally, peaking at number 35 in Billboard, but we’ll see it
get to number eight here. “Dueling Banjos” by Weissberg and Mandell, from the
movie Deliverance, spent four weeks
at number two in BB, stuck behind Roberta Flack’s “Killing Me Softly With His
Song,” but here it’ll get to number one for a week. That leaves three more
debuts: “The World is a Ghetto” by War (7BB/24KJR), “Could it Be I’m Falling in
Love” by the Spinners (4/10), and Elvis Presley’s “Separate Ways” (20/35).
