Jermaine Jackson--Daddy's Home

Five debuts this week, and not much variation between their
performances here and nationally. Canadian Keith Hampshire’s “Daytime
Night-Time” will get no higher than its number 28 debut position, but in
Billboard it only got to number 51. Anne Murray’s version of the Loggins &
Messina album track “Danny’s Song” was a number seven BB hit but will stop at
number 14 here at KJR. Jermaine Jackson’s doo-wop remake “Daddy’s Home” will
spend three weeks at number three, versus its number nine national peak. “Killing
Me Softly With His Song” by Roberta Flack will spend seven weeks at number one,
rather than five, and “Reelin’ & Rockin’” by Chuck Berry will just edge its
national peak (27/23).
