Five Man Electrical Band--Absolutely Right

The fifth straight week with Osmonds occupying the top two spots.

“Brown Eyes” becomes the second non-Billboard David Cassidy entry on the survey, though both are actually Partridge Family album cuts, and in a few weeks both will begin to be identified as such.

Freddie Hart’s “Easy Loving” will get to number three and spend 16 weeks on the survey. It only got to number 17 in Billboard, though it was number one for three weeks on the country chart and was one of the biggest hits of the year there.

The other three debuts are the 5th Dimension’s remake of “Never My Love” (12BB/21KJR), “It’s a Cryin’ Shame” by Gayle McCormick, formerly the singer of the group Smith (44/36), and the Five Man Electrical Band’s follow-up to “Signs,” “Absolutely Right” (26/13).
