“Church Street Soul Revival” is the first solo Tommy James record to appear on the survey; it was a number 62 Billboard hit that will get to number 15.  (His first post-Shondells single, “Ball and Chain,” didn’t make it to KJR.)  The other four debuts were all top 40 BB (all but B.J. Thomas were top ten), and all will be top 25 here (again, all but B.J. Thomas top ten).

This may not be unusual, but I was noticing that the titles of numbers 18, 25, 27, 28, 31, 36 and 45 are all commands.

After a quick check, I see that there was one more the previous week, as “Cry Me a River” drops off this week while none of the debuts meet the criterion.
