Boys in the Band--(How Bout a Little Hand For) The Boys in the Band

The Carpenters surge to number two.

Last week Miguel Rios’ “Song of Joy” peaked at number 21 in its fifth week on the survey; this week it’s gone.

The four highest-debuting records were all big hits both nationally and in Seattle.  The Neighborhood’s version of Joni Mitchell’s “Big Yellow Taxi” was a number 29 BB hit, while here we’ll see it get to number eleven.  “The Boys in the Band” by the Boys in the Band, a soul-rock record from a movie called The Phynx, just cracked into the top 50 nationally and will do the same here.

P.S. I finally got "Followers" enabled on this blog...
