No Super-Hits designated this week.

Four of this week’s debuts did not make the Billboard Top 40 but will spend between three and six weeks each on our survey as “Ands”: “Easy Evil” by Steppenwolf leader John Kay (number 102 in BB), “Outlaw Man” by the Eagles (59), Dr. John’s follow-up to “Right Place Wrong Time,” “Such a Night” (42), and Albert Hammond’s “The Peacemaker” (80).

  1. I commented wrt Gelnar & Pagan. Have enjoyed scanning back through these top 40 lists. Being a huge Kinks fan, I was surprised to see 20th Century Man made the local charts. Assuming you continue whittling away at this, I'll hope to swing by again in the future & see if Dwight Twilley or Hot Chocolate outperformed their national rankings...

    1. Thanks again, I really appreciate it. The P-I stopped printing the survey in 1974, so I don't have a lot left to do, but I will get back to it.
