“He” by Today’s People, a French vocal group, only got to number 90 in Billboard but will make the second ten here. Stevie Wonder’s “Higher Ground,” a number four national hit, will likewise peak in the second ten.
I love reading your Fab 50 surveys and the memories they bring back. We are coming up on the end of Summer 1973, when I was about to leave Seattle and head 3000 miles east for my freshman year of college. It was a time of excitement but also of fear, wondering how I would do so far away from home. It is fun to reminisce on those days, with the help of your reminders of what tunes on KJR provided the soundtrack for those days.
