Steve and Eydie’s “We Can Make it Together” was just a number 68 Billboard hit (though it got to number seven on the Easy Listening chart) but will get to number 26 here. “If You Leave Me Tonight I’ll Cry” by Jerry Wallace will get up to number 24 rather than its national peak of 38, and Bobby Vinton’s remake of “Sealed With a Kiss” will make it to ten rather than 19. Bill Withers’ “Use Me,” number two for two weeks in Billboard, will stall at number seven. That leaves the O’Jays’ “Backstabbers,” which will exactly equal its number three national peak.

Cheech & Chong—The Continuing Adventures of Pedro de Pacas and Man (LP)

Just four debuts this week: Elton John’s “Honky Cat” (8BB/9KJR), “Play Me” by Neil Diamond (11/13), Joey Heatherton’s remake of Ferlin Husky’s 1957 hit “Gone” (24/38), and a skit taken from Cheech and Chong’s Big Bambu album, “The Continuing Adventures of Pedro de Pacas and Man,” which was never released as a single and therefore could not make the Billboard singles chart—it’ll go to number 28 here next week, then drop off the survey.
