Shocking Blue--Never Marry a Railroad Man

George Harrison has the highest debut we’ve seen since “Let it Be” in March.

This is the fourth (and final) straight week that the Jackson Five are stuck at number two behind the Partridge Family.  Once the Partridges get bumped from the top spot, they’ll spend four weeks of their own at number two.

Four of the five debuts will come very close to their national peaks.  The one exception is Dutch band the Shocking Blue with “Never Marry a Railroad Man,” a number 102 Billboard hit that will go all the way to number six here.
