Association--Names, Tags, Numbers & Labels
|
It seems like a mistake, but two records drop off this week
and will return next week. Elton John’s “Crocodile Rock” was number 15 last
week and will be number 36 next week, while “Hummingbird” by Seals & Crofts
was number 31 last week and will be number 18 next week.
Just four debuts this week: “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the
Old Oak Tree” by Dawn, which was number one for four weeks in Billboard, will
be number one for six weeks at KJR; the re-release of David Bowie’s “Space
Oddity,” originally from 1969, will get to number 12 here, versus 15
nationally; “Let Your Yeah Be Yeah” by Brownsville Station, a number 57 BB hit,
will make it to number 18 here; and the Association’s “Names, Tags, Numbers
& Labels,” which barely made the Hot 100 at number 91, is barely making it
into the Fab 40 and will peak next week at number 38.
