Seven debuts this week, all Billboard Hot 100 hits, though some just barely. Sammy Davis Jr’s “The People Tree” only got to number 92 there, while it’ll stay at number 33 here one more week and then drop off. “You Can Do Magic” by Ohio siblings Limmie & Family Cookin’ stopped at number 84 nationally and we’ll see it get to number 28. Foghat’s “I Just Want to Make Love to You,” an FM rock staple, only got to number 83 in the Hot 100 but will make it to number 12 here. And “Day and Night” by Montreal band the Wackers will get to number 24 but only made it to number 65 in Billboard.
