Seven debuts this week, including one that didn’t make Billboard at all: Seattle’s Merrilee Rush’s “Child of Mine,” which will get to number 46. The highest debut is “Yo-Yo” by the Osmonds, a number three BB hit that will spend twenty weeks on the survey, including three at number one. I also like that it debuts right behind “Co-Co.”

“I’ve Found Someone of My Own” by the Free Movement, a number five national hit, will only get to number 44. Oddly, it will spend three weeks on the survey, disappear for five weeks, then return for four weeks, and be slotted somewhere between 42 and 46 each of those weeks. “I Like What You Give” by soul singer Nolan Porter, billed as just Nolan, was a number 70 hit in BB but will make it to number 35 here. Anne Murray’s “Talk it Over in the Morning,” number 57 nationally, will get to number 20. That leaves Engelbert Humperdinck’s “Another Time, Another Place” (43BB/36KJR) and the Guess Who’s “Rain Dance” (19/12).
